Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) donated a Type 1 pumper to the Oatman 66 Fire Department, an all-volunteer organization, CAFMA announced on Facebook Tuesday, Feb. 20.

Three new CAFMA pumpers recently went into service as three older frontline engines were transitioned to the reserve fleet. With this transition, CAFMA identified surplus engines, including one available for donation.

The 2003 HME engine will strengthen Oatman Fire’s mission to serve their community effectively by enhancing emergency response capabilities. The donation underscores CAFMA’s commitment to emergency preparedness and fostering collaboration among public safety agencies, ultimately contributing to the safety and well-being of our communities and communities throughout the state.
