Amarillo (TX) Approves $13.3M for Fire Vehicles

The Amarillo City Council unanimously voted to issue $13.3 million in debt to modernize the city’s fire apparatus, amarillo.com reported.

In total, the city approved the purchase of six pumpers and two fire ladder trucks, including all necessary equipment and warranties, the post said. A city official emphasized that the current fire fleet is overdue for upgrades, according to the report.
