The Pleasant Grove Fire and Rescue Department unveiled its new Pierce pumper, the department said in a Facebook post recently.

A fire official said the cost for the new engine is around $750,000 and brings the city’s number of trucks up to three, wbrc.com reported. It is tailor made for the community and is expected to be around for at least the next 20 years.

It was a 2 1/2-year process from order, to build, to delivery. Special thanks to the mayor and council for procuring the funding, and to Capt. Sandlin and Lt. Cornelius for helping to design and manage the process, the department said.
