Construction on Fire Station 2 for the Plainview, TX, fire department will begin next week with a ground breaking ceremony, according to a report published by myplainview.com.
Voters originally approved the project in 2017 by voting for a $5,325,000 bond for the fire station relocation, according to the web site.
The new building will be 14,500 square feet and have living quarters, multi-purpose training room, administration offices and four truck bays, according to the report.
