Pierce Dash CF Fire Apparatus Sales Rise

APPLETON, WI—Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) company, continues to generate orders for its Dash® CF custom fire apparatus from across North America. Both municipal and volunteer fire departments from states such as Arizona, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Colorado, Missouri, New York, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Kansas, and Texas have purchased the Dash CF. Most recently, the Wichita (KS) Fire Department ordered 10 Dash CFs (nine pumpers and one aerial platform), and three Dash CF pumpers were purchased by the Midlothian (TX) Fire Department.

The Dash CF features a tilting cab-forward design that repositions the engine rearward and down low between the frame rails, with an open interior configuration to help firefighters better prepare for the unexpected situations they face when arriving on scene. The vehicle dramatically increases driver and officer interior cab space, improves visibility and serviceability, and sets a new benchmark for heavy-duty construction – all in a compact easy to maneuver wheelbase.

The Dash CF apparatus is available with either a Cummins ISL or Detroit Diesel DD13 engine, and on a broad range of vehicle configurations – including tandem axle pumpers, aerials, tankers, rescues and command units.
