This is the City of Salem (IN) Fire Department‘s 1937 Dodge Brothers/Howe fire apparatus. It was the first mechanized fire truck purchased for use in the city. The truck is still in service for parades, car shows, and funerals. The city’s firefighters compeltely restored the truck in the mid 1990s. Photo courtesy of Maurice Jones, Jr.
