Perkiomen Expanding Equipment Base

The Perkiomen Township Board of Supervisors has unanimously voted approval to purchase a used apparatus that will expand the company’s capabilities while saving money.

The fire company has found a service vehicle that will increase the capabilities of the organization, including additional equipment for accidents, hazardous material, lighting and water rescues.

Fire Chief John T. Moran, Jr., found a used service vehicle online from a nearby fire company, and that the purchase of a used apparatus will save roughly $40,000 after their current truck is sold.

This apparatus will take the place of the oldest engine in the fire company, which will be sold.
