Mt. Pleasant Township Fire Department is struggling after a year of lost festivals, fundraisers and fish fries, reports WPXI.com.

The Penn Hills Volunteer Fire Department is also feeling the impact and won’t be able to upgrade a fire truck.

Some of the local fire departments plan to ask for the public’s help to ensure fire equipment needs are met.
