Osceola County (FL) Puts new Sutphen Engine in Service

Osceola County (FL) Fire Rescue and EMS recently put a new Sutphen engine in service, according to the Osceola News-Gazette.

The newspaper reported the engine, which cost more than $500,000, was ushered in with a traditional “push back” ceremony into Station 63 on Cross Prairie Parkway and will replace a 2007 model with 220,000 miles on it.

The placement of the new engine in service marks a significant investment into fire department expansion, according to the newspaper which also reported officials have approve the construction of three new fire station and a new aerial was delivered to Kissimmee in September.
