One Hurt After Cincinnati Fire Apparatus Crashes into Car

A fire engine was involved in a crash in North Fairmount Thursday afternoon.

A fire department spokesperson said the heavy-rescue 14 fire engine crashed into a car at the intersection of Hopple and Beekman streets.

The fire engine was responding to a fire on Westwood Northern Boulevard. Authorities said the truck had its lights on at the time of the crash.

Authorities said one person in his 80s was in the car and was taken to UC Medical Center for treatment. The severity of the victim’s injuries was not immediately released.
