One person is dead after their vehicle hit a parked Colleton County fire truck, reports ABC News 4.
The fire truck had all its emergency equipment activated as it assisted another vehicle. The unoccupied fire truck was then hit by a care, which fire officials said was traveling at high speed.
Firefighters stated that the collision damaged the rescue tools on the engine. Firefighters then had to reach hand tools to reach the 42-year-old male driver. The driver had not been wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
