One person has died after a collision between a Stockton Fire Department truck and a sports utility vehicle in Stockton Tuesday morning, reports news10net.com (http://on.news10.net/1AdpdqG)
The male victim was the passenger in the SUV. He was transported to an area hospital but did not survive his injuries, Stockotn police said.
The fire truck was traveling on northbound Filbert Street in response to a call, according to police responders. The silver SUV was headed on westbound Myrtle Street to enter Highway 4 when the two vehicles crashed in the intersection.
The driver of the SUV was injured as were three fire department personnel in the truck. All have been transported to the hospital. Police posted the injured were all alert and conscious.
It wasn’t clear who was at fault in the wreck. Investigators said the fire truck was responding to a call regarding an allergic reaction at Fillmore Elementary School and had its siren and lights activated.
