Ocean City (MD) Approves $300K for Fire Apparatus

Ocean City officials have approved an emergency expenditure request to replace the motors in three fire trucks, reports The Dispatch of Ocean City Maryland.

Ocean City Fire Department Chief Richie Bowers said that any one of the three motors could fail at any given time. And,  the existing motors are no longer produced by the manufacturer and parts are not readily available.

Bowers said replacing the fire engine motors now will ensure there is not an emergency situation when one or all of them fail and would not be available.
