Oak Grove (KY) Gets New Fire Apparatus

The Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department welcomed a new member Saturday, one that will contribute immediately to the department’s efficiency and effectiveness. A new fire truck was dedicated at the department by Chief Greg Bequette and Deputy Chief Bill Johnson.

The E-One Rescue Pumper, built to the department’s specifications, arrived in late February. Its water tank holds 780 gallons, more than twice the capacity of any other Oak Grove fire truck. It can pump 1,500 gallons per minute. Members of the fire department have been training on the truck since its arrival.
