Northeast Ohio Fire Stations Serve as Second Homes to Firefighters

Fire stations house the obvious — fire trucks and ambulances, plenty of gear.

But they also serve as second homes for firefighters, who sleep in their dorms, cook in their kitchens and work out in their gyms.

Whether new or old, large or small, each fire station has character. Parma has an antique truck for parades. Strongsville has an onsite, indoor fire training facility. Some display pieces of steel beams from New York’s World Trade Center.
