Don Vallee has restored a 1930 Ford Model A fire chief’s truck.

Vallee restored the truck in honor of his grandson Michael Joseph Gianetti that passed away when he was was 10-years-old. Gianetti was fond of fire trucks and started the restoration project with his grandfather before he died.

Said Vallee, “Finding parts for Model As is pretty easy. There are swap meets, flea markets and because so many Model As were made and were made to be interchangeable between different models you can tinker with the cars and trucks to make them what you want. The fire apparatus accessories were found in Brockton at a recovery yard where there was a large choice of fire truck goodies, including the spoked hose reel, pump and lights and the siren.”
