Bullet Hits Redland (CA) Fire Truck, No Injuries Reported

A single bullet hit a Redlands (CA) Fire Department engine while it was at the scene of a medical call early Thursday morning, according to a report published by the Redlands Daily Fact (RDF). There were no injuries, according to the report.

While inside attending to the patient at a home on Lassen Street at about 1:50 am, firefighters heard what they thought was a gunshot, according to RDF. When firefighters returned to the truck, they noticed a bullet hole in the driver’s side windshield, RDF reported. Photos from the Redlands Fire Department show that the bullet hit a seat inside the apparatus.

There were no immediate suspects and the incident is under investigation, according to RDF.
