Copper Fire Truck Weathervane Tops New Fire Station in Newbury (NH)

Newbury (NH) marked the opening of a new, $3.7 million fire station with a ribbon-cutting and a grand opening ceremony, according to a report published by WMUR 9.

According to the television station, the new station is 9,900 square feet and has space for storage, apparatus and training.

One of the finishing touches on the station is a unique copper weathervane in the shape of a fire truck on top of the station which was placed there by a crane an a basket, according to the television station.

Station No. 7 is now fully equipped with an engine, a ladder truck, and a staff of seven firefighters around the clock.
