New Jersey Firefighter Builds 16-Foot Fire Apparatus Halloween Display

Cliffside Park resident and volunteer firefighter, Cosmo Paris, has created a unique Halloween display with his 16-foot replica fire truck.

Made almost exclusively from recycled vegetable baskets that Paris gathered from a local grocer of the course of a year, the Tiller Truck, a two-person operated tractor trailer, is a ringer for the borough’s actual truck. It stands on the front lawn of Paris’ Fulton Terrace home.

Paris has served as a Cliffside Park volunteer fireman for nearly 18 years. By trade he is a plumbing and heating specialist and he drives a tow truck part time, but in his free time, he has somewhat of an obsession with building replica fire engines from recycled materials.
