Lompoc (CA) Fire Department Adds New Engine to Fleet

Firefighters with the Lompoc (CA) Fire Department are excited to have received a new Pierce triple combination pumper delivered on Monday, Aug. 30, according to a report published by television station KEYT ABC 3.

The TV station reported the department is expected to have the new engine in service in the next few week at Lompoc Station 1.

The purchase of the new $691,861 engine was approved back in September 2020, according to the KEYT report, and was a badly needed addition to the fleet which includes two other frontline engines which are 13 and 19 years old.

A 2014 brush truck was the newest apparatus in the fleet before Monday’s delivery, according to the report.
