New Fire Station Serves Las Vegas Community


A new fire station opened Aug. 27 near Page Street. Fire Station 108 is serving Ward 3, which covers east Las Vegas.

“We have long looked forward to opening a fire station with paramedic services in this part of Ward 3,” Las Vegas City Councilman Bob Coffin said. “The new station will enable us to provide faster firefighting and emergency services to these eastside neighbors, and that should save lives.”

The cost of the new station was approximately $6.6 million. The fire station is 7,740 square feet and will be house one engine and one rescue unit.
