New Fire Apparatus Arrives for Clear Lake IA

The Clear Lake Fire Department’s (IA) new 75-foot ladder truck has arrived. The new apparatus will become the department’s first response vehicle to structure fires within the city limits.

Firefighter training on the new truck has started. Classes are also planned for the next three days by volunteers for maintenance, operation and drills using the new capabilities of the truck.

This ladder truck replaces a pumper purchased in 1983 and is expected to serve Clear Lake for close to 30 years. This ladder truck replaces a pumper purchased in 1983 and is expected to serve Clear Lake for close to 30 years.
