NC Fire Apparatus Leaves Roadway En Route to Fire

HENDERSONVILLE, NC-Three firefighters were taken to the hospital after a fire apparatus in whcih they were passengers rolled off an icy road in Henderson County, North Carolina.

According to reports, the apparatus was responding to a vehicle accident reportedly caused by icy, foggy conditions. After leaving the roadway, the engine rolled down an embankment.

Bystanders report that visibility was down to 200 yards because of the fog. The extent of the three firefighters’ injuries is unknown at this time.
