Myerstown (PA) Cancer Patient will Receive Fire Apparatus Escort

A convoy of area fire apparatus will escort cancer patient Robert Sweigert of Myerstown from Hershey to his grandparents’ home in Lancaster County Wednesday afternoon. Sweigert, 23, a member of the Good Fire Co. in Myerstown, is a patient at the Hershey Medical Center.

The convoy will gather at the Lebanon Valley Mall at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and then head to Karns Foods on Cherry Drive in Hershey, where it will meet Sweigert’s ambulance.
