Mt. Vernon MO Fire Apparatus in Crash

A Mt. Verson (MO) fire truck was involved in a crash along the 53 mile marker in Lawrence County.

Sgt. Jason Pace with the Missouri Highway Patrol said a vehicle going east lost control and broadsided the fire truck. The fire truck was trying to turn around in the emergency crossover.

No one inside the fire truck was injured. But, the driver of the other vehicle is listed in serious condition in a local hospital. It’s not clear at this time if anyone else was in the vehicle.
