Two Dead After Motorcycle Crashes Into Seattle (WA) Fire Apparatus

A motorcyclist and a passenger are both dead after crashing into the side of a Seattle Fire Department apparatus early Monday, king5.com reported.

An official with the Seattle Police Department said the fire apparatus was responding to an emergency call and had its lights activated when the collision happened, according to the report.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said. The passenger received aid from Seattle Fire Department personnel and was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he later died from their injuries. Both were men in their 30s, the report said.

No SFD personnel were injured in the collision.

Significant damage was done to the side of the fire apparatus from the crash, according to the report.
