Milford (NH) Fire Department Takes Delivery of HME Aerial Fire Apparatus

The Town of Milford, New Hampshire recently took delivery of a 2015 HME HAF111’L aerial fire apparatus. Built on a custom HME Spectr chassis with a 500-hp Cummins engine and Allison 4000 EVS transmission, the 6×4 tandem-axle “smart” aerial has galvanized double frame rails, an aluminum tilt cab with a notched 12-inch raised roof, an LED interior lighting package, and seating for a crew of six. Additionally, this aerial features a 24-inch extended bumper with a center hosewell and gravelshield mounted federal Q2B siren; stainless steel piping, panels, framework, and galvanized outriggers; painted hinged doors; 446 cubic feet of compartment storage space, which includes a 172-cubic-foot transverse compartment, shelving, trays, and toolboards throughout; 10-kW Smart Power hydraulic generator; Hannay cable reel; FRC scene lighting; Whelen LED warning light package; NFPA-compliant ladder group, 111-foot four-section HME ladder; a three-sided turntable with left and right side access ladders; an aerial waterway with four-inch piping; and an Akron tip monitor.
