LUVERNE, MN—Midwest Fire, a fire apparatus manufacturer, announced that it has hired Darcie Johnson as the new vice president of accounting and business manager and promoted Kelsey Theesfeld to assistant office manager.
In her new role, Johnson will be responsible for leading the company’s departments of accounting, human resources, and IT processes. Johnson is a graduate of Colorado Technical University and has 15 years of accounting experience. She has spent the last ten and a half years at Luverne Truck Equipment.
“We purchased the company in August of last year and are looking to grow to a new level,” says Sarah Atchison, president and CEO of Midwest Fire. “In order to do this, we needed a person with strong accounting background and attention to detail and Johnson couldn’t have been a better fit.”
With the new promotion, Theesfeld becomes the lead production cost analyst, assists with marketing, payroll, and licensing.
“Both these women have demonstrated their ability to go above and beyond in their field of work and a willingness to grow and that is exactly what we needed in order to accomplish our goals for 2014,” said Atchison.
