McAllen Fire Department (TX) to Buy New Fire Apparatus

The McAllen City Commission has approved the funding to purchase two new fire trucks for the city’s fire department.

Currently the Fire Department has four trucks, two of which are over 13 years-old, and with the delivery of the new engines, the current units will be placed as reserve units.

The purchasing of the new fire trucks are due to the increasing cost of maintaining older units. The Fire Department is expected to receive the new trucks sometime in October of t this year.
