Man Lying in Texas Roadway Run Over by Fire Apparatus

Firefighters responding to a call in Southwest Bexar County (TX) ran a rescue truck over a man lying in a roadway.

The man, reported in his 20s, was pronounced dead at San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he was transported following the accident.

Emergency Service District 5 firefighters were responding to a call about a person down about 6:30 a.m., Fire Marshal Craig Roberts said.

“It was still foggy, and dark outside, and the location they were given for the call was further out than the scene” of the incident, he said. “Apparently, they struck the victim. He was lying in the road.”
