Little Rock AR to Refurbish Fire Apparatus

The City of Little Rock (AR) plans to upgrade its fleet by refurbishing the existing vehicles instead of buying new apparatus.

City directors voted unanimously to refurbish an aerial truck for nearly a quarter of a million dollars. A Nevada company won the bid to upgrade the truck built in 1993. This method is expected to save the city thousands of dollars.

Some of the city’s fire trucks are 10 to 20 years old.
