Lapel (IN) Approves Fire Apparatus Financing

The town of Lapel has agreed to finance the purchase of a new fire truck, reports The Herald Bulletin.

The fire truck will replace one that was in active service for 27 years.

The truck will carry 1,000 gallons of water and be capable of pumping 1,500 gallons per minute. It will be able to transport six firefighters and all their gear at once. The estimated cost of the new fire truck is $620,000.
