Lancaster (PA) Fire Apparatus and Car Collide

The driver of a car is at fault in a wreck involving a Lancaster City fire engine Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The fire truck was turning north onto Race Avenue from Buchanan Avenue just after 2:30 p.m., city police Lt. Todd Umstead said. The car was behind the fire truck, also trying to turn north.

As the fire truck turned, the vehicles collided, he said. No injuries were reported.

The fire truck had moderate damage but remains operational, city fire Chief Timothy Gregg said.
