Lake Havasu City AZ Residents Lose Power Due to Apparatus Mishap

The Boat Broker’s traveling monument, “The Big Red One 2,” became entangled in high voltage power lines near Bridgewater Channel (AZ). The 1962 fire truck knocked out power to 660 Lake Havasu City residents on the Island and near London Bridge.

The owner of the apparatus drove the fire truck with the truck’s extended ladder.

It took four hours to replace the poles and mend the main feed to the Island. Damage estimates are unofficial at this time but are anticipated to be in the range of $5,000 to $10,000.

Lake Havasu City Fire Department responded to the incident.
