The Marion (IL) Fire Department’s new 100-foot ladder truck will be funded by a grant from the Harrison-Bruce Foundation, reports dailyrepublicannews.com. The apparatus has been ordered and is expected to be delivered in 2022.

Instead of selling the department’s old ladder trucks, the city will donate them to neighboring districts. A 1986 backup ladder is already in service with the Williamson County Fire Protection District, and the current ladder will go to Carterville once the new apparatus arrives.
