Lake Township Fire Department’s new aerial ladder truck showed its value at two fires, reports Newton County Enterprise.

The fire department posted to Facebook, “Thank you to our neighboring Fire Departments – Lincoln, Morocco (Beaver Township), and Lowell Fire for all the help on the evening of Thursday, December 10th. It was a hard fought battle to save the home next to the structure. Through well trained firefighters and helpful new equipment, the house was saved. Also, a big thanks to our Newton County EMS, 911 dispatchers, and Sheriff’s Department. Your help is truly and gratefully appreciated!.”

Lake Township Assistant Fire Chief Jammie Little said the truck served as a great tool that helps “pull stress” from firefighters.
