Anchorage AK Receives New Fire Apparatus

An Anchorage (AK) fire station, which services the Spenard area, welcomed a new 100-foot ladder truck, replacing the older fire truck that had been in use for over a decade.

The new ladder truck will help fire crews reach tall buildings and aid rescues.

According to AFD Captain Dan Joyner, the older truck will stay in reserve to serve as back-up when other trucks break down or need repairs.
