Lackawanna County (PA) Fire Apparatus Damaged by Fire

Fire damaged a fire truck on New Year’s Eve morning, reports 16 ABC WNEP.

The company’s first assistant chief discovered the fire about two hours after it started. Firefighters reacted quickly and were able to save much of the fire equipment in the truck.

Replacing the engine would cost more than $600,000. A fire official said that the loss of the truck will cost the fire department in response time.
