KME Gets Contract For 21 Rescue Trucks

Kovatch Mobile Equipment Corporation (KME) was selected as the best overall value supplier to make 21 medium rescue trucks for the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP).

The units will be shipped to air bases throughout the nation. The rescue bodies will be mounted on 4×4 crew cab chassis. Features include a KME 3/16-inch aluminum walk-around rescue body, a 12,000-pound winch, a pto-driven generator and a vertical-mast light tower.

The DSCP is the troop support center of the Defense Logistics Agency. The DSCP supplies the armed services with food, medical supplies and construction equipment, as well as supporting humanitarian and disaster relief efforts.
