Johnson City (TN) Fire Department Welcomes New Truck with ‘Push-In’ Ceremony

According to a report from WJHL, Johnson City (TN) Fire Department (JCFD) firefighters held a “push-in” ceremony on Thursday, March 18, with city officials to celebrate the arrival of the department’s latest truck.

The $458,000 engine will replace a 23-year-old model that is set for retirement.

JCFD Chief David Bell said he new engine will also offer more protection to firefighters as the department responds to calls.

The new fire engine is expected to be in service with the JCFD for up to 25 years.
