Jackson PA Fire Apparatus Involved in Accident

A Jackson Township (PA) tanker truck was responding to a house fire when it was hit on the driver’s side by a four-door car.

“It seems the car’s driver was in the left-turn lane and pulled to the right in an effort to get out of the way, not realizing she was pulling in front of the fire truck,” Pocono Township Police Chief Phil Riley said.

No one was injured or cited and both vehicles sustained minor damage. Jackson Township Fire Chief Lester Wolcott said the fire company had just gotten the tanker truck back two weeks ago after sending it out for five months to have a new tank put on it.
