Investigation into Greenville (NY) Fire Apparatus Accident

Police are investigating an accident which caused injury when a car crashed into a fire truck that was in passing lane of the highway with emergency lights on, reports Mid Hudson News.

The driver of an SUV rear-ended the fire vehicle causing her vehicle to overturn. She was trapped inside while the child was able to free herself.

While extricating the operator, the engine compartment caught fire, but that was extinguished, and the woman was removed from the car.
