The Idaho Falls Fire Department celebrated its new Ladder 1 yesterday with a wet down and push-in ceremony.

The apparatus was built from the bottom up by Pierce Manufacturing and Hughes Fire Equipment. It’s an Arrow XT 100-foot Ascendant Aerial.

Its predecessor which will be used as a reserve engine for the department. Immediately following the ceremony, the ladder was called to its first call: a car crash.
