Hogansville (GA) Employee Honored for Restoring Fire Apparatus

Public Works Superintendent Andy Jones has been honored for restoring a 1953 Ford F600 Pirsch Pumper Hogansville fire truck, reports The LaGrange Daily News.

Hogansville City Council named Jones an honorary fire chief for the spending over 200 hours on the project. He got it up and running at the annual Hogansville Christmas parade in 2019.

The pumper was one of the last fire trucks in Hogansville before the city stopped its fire service in the early 1980s.
