The HME Revolutionary Stainless Versatile Pumper (RSVP)WYOMING, MI—The HME Revolutionary Stainless Versatile Pumper (RSVP) features an all new cab design including an 11-inch forward extension roof, leaving more room for evaporator space, gear, and equipment atop the doghouse and more headroom for the crew; an all-new three-fan condenser and an overhead air-conditioning unit for maximized visibility and space; more leg and elbow room; and more space for equipment.

Mounted on an 1871-W custom chassis and powered by a Cummins ISL9 450-hp diesel engine, the RSVP was designed to be a versatile apparatus. A galvanized tank cradle and frame rails reduce the effect of harsh road chemicals and allow for years without any corrosion, along with a stainless steel body, fuel tank, and pump panel.

The pumper comes equipped with a powered aluminum hosebed cover for easy access, through-the-tank ladder storage including space for pike poles and stokes basket, and side roll-up doors with a fold-down step on the front of the compartments for pump admittance. The slide-out crosslay storage unit also allows easy loading and unloading of hose for initial attack response.

Other specifications include a four-wheel stability enhancement system for reduced rollovers, a 750-gallon rectangular polypropylene water tank, 8-kW Harrison hydraulic generator, Class III rear hitch, storage in fenders for seven SCBA bottles, Allison 3000EVS transmission, cab tilt road interlock, larger front windshield, center hosewell, TFT 18-inch Extend-A-Gun with 1,250-gpm Hurricane RC monitor, Fire Research TurboFoam system with a 20-gallon Class A foam tank, “out-and-down” ladder for hosebed access, KL400 series command lights, 45-degree cramp angle, map box, interior black splatter paint for disguised wear and tear, and 30-inch-wide coffin compartments.
