Hillsdale Township (MI) Fire Department Scheduled for Fire Apparatus in 2021

The Hillsdale Township Fire Department is tentatively scheduled to take delivery of a new fire engine in early 2021, reports Hillsdale Daily News.

Chief Mike Rose said the Hillsdale Township Board of Directors approved the purchase of a brand new Rosenbauer pumper/tanker combo truck.

The township effectively took ownership of the fire department in January 2015 from the former Hillsdale Rural Fire Department, a private non-profit organization which was contracted to perform fire protection services for the township and a portion of Cambria Township for decades.

The new Rosenbauer truck will be the first brand new truck the department has purchased since 2008 when they took delivery of a Pierce.
