Hawaii Fire Departments Choose Fire Trucks from KME

NESQUEHONING, PA—KME has announced that the County of Hawai`i has awarded KME and its dealer Hawaii Specialty Vehicles LLC an order for two custom pumpers.

The pumper chassis will be KME Predator™ Severe Service units with seating for five, 500-hp engines with engine brakes, 1,500-gpm pumps, 1,000 gallons of water, dual 25-gallon foam tanks, Class A and B Foam systems, and 158” sluminum full height/split depth bodies.

KME also announced that pleased to announce the City and County of Honolulu has awarded KME and Hawaii Specialty Vehicles LLC an order for five custom pumpers and a 100’ tractor-drawn aerial (TDA).

The pumper chassis will be KME Predator Severe Service units with seating for five, EMS cab compartments, 500-hp engines, and retarders for brake performance and life. The pumpers include 2,000-gpm pumps, 750 gallons of water, 40 gallons of foam, Waterous Eclipse compressed air foam systems (CAFS), 7.5-kW generators, and 136” aluminum full height/split depth bodies.

The TDA is also on a Severe Service chassis and includes a 10-kW generator and 101’ ladder with waterway.
