Haverhill (MA) Welcomes Fire Apparatus

The fire department has welcomed two pumper fire trucks, reports The Eagle-Tribune.

The purchase had some political turmoil as city councilors rejected the mayor’s budget until he agreed to purchase the new vehicles.

The two trucks were built by Pierce and are fully certified according to National Fire Protection Agency standards.

The new trucks will allow older vehicles to be rotated through the department’s four stations. The department now has two ladder trucks, eight pumper trucks and a rescue truck
