Grundy Center (IA) Fire Department Purchases Fire Apparatus

The Grundy Center Fire Department purchased a new two-in-one tanker and pumper truck to replace their aging pumper, reports The Grundy Register.

The 2005 truck cost $169,000. The department will sell their old 1991 pumper to help cover the expense.

Fire Chief Nathan Kappel says the new truck puts the department on track towards their goal of updating all of their old vehicles.
