Grant Helps McCutchenville OH Replace Fire Apparatus

A $1,000 grant will help McCutchenville Fire Department (OH) replace its more than 20-year-old fire engine by financing the modification of a a 2008 International Ferarra Pumper-Tanker that was purchased in April.

Modifications to the truck have included electrical inlet valves, scene lights, hose bed dividers and a trash line storage area. Storage modifications and a foam system still are needed.

The grant is part of Heritage Cooperative and Land O’Lakes Foundation Team’s “Giving Back to Our Communities” program.

The engine will join three other trucks in the volunteer-based fire department’s fleet.

According to a release from Heritage Cooperative, a total of $8,250 was shared with 12 organizations in central Ohio for various projects.
